2015 R3R Main Harness replacement

The main harness assembly for a Roadster is part # T2501097. The question is whether you want to invest $745.00 in a new harness or take your chances with a salvage yard harness. In either case the shop that cut up your original harness should be on the hook for botching the job in the first place. And based on the symptoms you describe under the conditions the bike was in, it could have been as simple as the negative battery lead to frame needed cleaning.
Oh, I know. It could have been SO simple. From now on, it's Triumph dealer for repairs, PERIOD.
WELL, unless I do this harness and learn a bit. Then, maybe I'll try more. LOL

With the folks here that have run into these problems before you, they can likely step you through getting it up and running. Post up pictures of when you get stuck or run into something you've never dealt with and someone will likely chime in with some hints to get you sorted. To get you started what you'll get if you buy a main harness will be item #1 in this diagram: (inside the dashed lines)

For what it is worth on my o7 I can disconnect the ecu and the bike will turn on and the gauges will sweep with all the checking light lit
So you are going to need a 12 volt test light and a multi meter.
Forget about the way the triumph manual tells you how to check your bike.
Start at the beginning ignition on and ki switch on place test light clamp to neg ant probe to positive does it go red
Then check all the fuses on both sides of fuse to see if they light up( the two fuses at rear are spares and will not light up.
Also with multi meter (set to 12 volts dc) check battery and the large 30 amp fuse to see what volts you have and if under 12 you need to charge battery.
For now I will assume that you know nothing and we will soon find out.
