I know several members need to plan in advance in order to to get there vacation request in early and ensure they get the dates they requested so we are announcing tentative dates and regions for two events in 2010 so plans can be made.

Spring Event -- May 14th - 17th --- East Region
Fall Event -- September 17th - 20th --- Mid West Region

A committee has been formed to evaluate potential locations, event format and sponsorship. Suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks for everyone’s cooperation. We are looking forward to two very successful events this year.

YEEHAW,
I'm ready.
Well not really,
but I'm excited about it for sure.
So spring time at the dragon?
Sounds good.
I hear tell there may be alcohol consumption at these events,
That would go against obama policy of converting us all to socialist muslims wouldn't it.
Ok, I'm in.;)
Midwest? How about talamina drive to Eureka Springs?

For what it's worth I live on 4 acres and have 3 acres of mowed grass area that is pretty flat and would be good for camping. It's fenced and I could probably park 50 bikes comfortably on the paved driveway. Our home is in Springdale, Arkansas which is about 45 minutes to an hour from Eureka Springs. You're welcome to consider it in planning.

Potential Venues - East USA

Well, if anyone is considering the Dragon area, I can highly recommend the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge. A bunch of us stayed there last June when we had an un-official Triumph RAID put on by the good folks from Dayton, OH. Britrider (Rick Sine) had us staying there, and I really enjoyed it. Good value for the $ and out of town so you get some quiet. John and Charlene Powell are the owners, here is theior homepage:

I think everyone who has attended the Maggie Valley meets would agree that if we do go back to that area the place of choice would be the Holiday Motel,(might have the name wrong) the service is great the hosts are excellent and we are close by to all the good riding.

Yes the Ironhorse is a very nice facility. I have stayed with them several times and we considered it last year the cost discouraged several people and my experience is the gravel drive to some of the cabins was less than fun to navigate.
