2010 Model Foot Peg location

They changed it? Assume you mean the R3 & not the new roadster??
If you mean roadster, then it's more complicated :? Quite a few guys have done relocations, but it involves making brackets & rails etc.

Don't see why not, the footpeg rails bolt to the engine and that hasn't changed, the Raask rearsets would probably be cheaper though but they are a bit further back and higher, fine for us shorties but no good if you are 6 foot.

eventually someone who purchased the roadster for just the abs will want to swap for floorboards.. so keep your eyes open.

ABS is one of the reasons I wouldn't buy a Roadster. I've had it and while it is a better braking system, they can be problematic and are horrifically expensive to repair. Well, I suppose that depends on where the pump is located.

I've had ABS on a couple of BMWs and never had a problem nor heard of anyone else having problems. Periodic maintenance is a bit more expensive , but it can save your life. Seems like a decent trade off.

2010 Foot Peg retro location

Thanks for all who replied, but I think that I was not clear with my question: I have a 2005 Rocket 3 Standard Classic and would like to have the foot pegs moved to a more rear location. The 2010 Rocket 3 sport, not the tourer, has the pegs rearward. I think that the 2010 location should or could be used on my 2005? Also could I take my peg mounts and change the left to the right and the right one to the left? This would also give me where I would like them located, but I'm sure that would not work because of the shift and brake linkage changes? I just don't like the forward location. Any help from others that have done this??? Thanks Again, Capt. Dan
