2007 Classic Carpenter Dreaded Click

UPDATE!! I ordered a new battery, this time i ordered the OEM Yuasa battery. It worked!!!
Last year i tried several batteries from different places, Walmart and every auto parts store available, nothing worked!
They tested my existing battery and they said it was good, i kept it connected to a battery tender and it showed full charge but every time i hit the switch all i heard was a click.
When the new battery arrived i made sure it was fully charged, replaced it and the bike started right up, let it run for a few and shut it off, 3 minutes later i tried it again and it cranked faster than ever and started right up, repeated for a few times and started every time.
Not sure if it was just the battery or a combination of battery and bad solenoid contacts, i repaired the solenoid as per @Rocket Scientist instructions.
May have been both things combined but the good news is that it is fixed. Hope this info helps somebody.

lets give the credit to @Rocket Scientist i am sure that he deserves the credit from what has been posted.
i was helping another guy and fixed his problem with a similar fix. there is a bad wire on the bikes and you/we bypassed that wire an so far that bad wire has not come back to bite us in the ass.
