The links to the Tune ECU downloads are here and have been around for over 15 years now so nearly all models and exhaust upgrade levels etc have suitable versions. Many here online will assist and have done it many times before. A lot of threads have model specific and option upgrades to match or suit your existing or future needs.
If you do not find an offer for a cable they are available cheap generic from eBay or expensive brand name from IT suppliers. There are difgferent grades of cable quality but even the cheap ones seem to work for most users.

Do I have to have a commander unit or is there a plug in for the ECU already there that will output info with the cable?

It is shaped like an OBD II plug, it's not one.

I got my engine light off today, took it for a long ride. I think I locked the float out keeping tank out of way while I removed the air box.
