    R3R spark plug wire

Team: I have a R3R with 900 miles on it which developed a pinhole in a spark plug lead (#3) and I tried to put a rubber hose over it with RTV non conductive and wire ties as a temp fix but it still arcs to the eng. case. Soooooo, I called my dealer who is 60 miles away and asked them for a new...

Gear Backlash on the 2011 R3R

2011 Rocket Roadster Has anyone ever heard a dealer talk about Gear Backlash in the transmission. When I roll on the throttle in 5th gear at 120kph pulling 2800-2900rpms there is a notiable clunking sound that is felt in the foot pegs. This clunking will go away once the rpms creep above...

    Now I'm a Texas R3owner

I've been on the forum for a couple of weeks, mostly whining about the lack of matte black R3Rs in Texas. Now that I'm an owner (got the black:)), I thought I might introduce myself. I am 53, live in League City (south of Houston), Texas with my fair princess and three Brittany dogs. I've been...
  8. Best way to lift R3T?

I have the Harbor Freight MC lift, and have used it in the past on other bikes. However, on my new (to me) 2009 R3T, using my lift would invilve lifting by the crankcase/oil pan. Is the metal robust enough to be lifted that way? I have seen "lift brackets" by Flip, but cannot see how the front...

    Tighten mirrors on R3T

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with tightening the mirrors on the R3T? Where the mirror stalk mounts into the bars they sit in some type of friction bearing, unfortunately the LH mirror is a bit too loose and tends to move back at highway speeds, particularly in any kind of...

  14. R3 Wilbers Shock Length?

I am interested in a set of Wilbers shocks for my 2011 R3 Roadster. My Canada Distributor says Wilbers tell him a standard R3 shock is 314mm(12.43") long/eye to eye. Yet I seem to remember somewhere posted on this site that an R3 shock is 12.5". I realize that is not much difference, but can any...

No more matte blacks R3Rs in Texas

My local dealer tells me that there are no matte black R3Rs in Texas. I called another dealer that showed one online, and he told me the same thing. Called my dealer back to get one ordered, and he told me that Triumph wasn't going to do any more matte blacks this year. So, they make em in 4...

    R3T Hard Bag Liners

I just ordered a set of liners for my R3T hard bags from TLC Products in California. They're supposed to be custom made to fit the R3T hard bags. I'll report back after I've received them and had a chance to put them in my bags.
