    Interesting Battery story

My tender was indicating a bad cell so I used my tester and it confirmed bad cell and 9.8 volts. Pulled it out and tested again and showed 13 volts; what gives? Brought it to Batterries Plus to test and it showed perfect battery readings, 13 volts. Reinstalled same battery in the bike and all...

    Change your crush washers

I did the annual service of oil and filter change plus rear differential. Oil pan washers changed but didn't on the differential. Lesson learned, had to go back and redo with new washers because of a leak. New experience with aluminum washers, was used to copper and could reuse those without...

Triumph dealer scan before 2 yr warranty ends

Almost at 2 years and I will be doing oil, brake and differential fluid changes myself. Would getting the scan before the warranty ends be a good idea? No issues with my bike so far at 6700 miles.

    Bleeding Brakes

I've had a professional vacuum brake bleeder that hooks up to my compressor to bleed brakes on all of my bikes for years. Can I do the same with the Rocket3 and vacuum out the old fluid at the calipers?

Just wondering the cost of 10,000 mile service

Trying to get a ball park of what a dealer would charge for the 10,000 mile service. I can change the fluids but it seems like the brake/clutch bleed might not be done. I have a compressor powered vacuum bleeder I've always used successfully with my previous bikes. But from what I've read, the...

    Cracked Inner Fender

The inner fender above the rear tire has split. No idea how, but it's right down the middle. Black Gorilla is the fix for now. I'll do both top and bottom when I take the rear wheel off. Excedra Max tire coming and was about to raise the fender in preparation.

I’m about to order a new rear tire for my GT. Which would be the better choice, Metz Cruisetec or Bridgestone Excedra Max?

    Alpinestars Boots a no go

I bought a really nice pair of Alpinestars vented summer boots for the Texas heat and won't be able to wear them on the Rocket. First, they wouldn't fit under the shifter. I adjusted the lever height to three different heights and couldn't shift into the higher gears. I returned the shifter...

https://www.amazon.com/Scrubbing-Compac-Glassware-Effectively-All-Around/dp/B002XDQK8S/ref=pd_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0_title I found these to work very well in getting into the crevices and areas not for fingers. I've used with waterless car wash, e.g. Optimum No Rinse, and the like without...

Possible Bridgestone Rear Tire Specifically for 2.5L

I was at the dealer yesterday getting a software update on my Indian Challenger. While waiting and chatting with the crew I was told Bridgestone may be working on a tire specific to 2.5L bikes. It sure would provide more confidence with additional tire choices. Especially since I purchased a...

    Lower tire pressures

I tried the 42/42 book pressures for a while and now have let then lower to 38/40. I like the feel of this new pressure combo and my handling seems to be more precise. I sense a bit more forgiving ride and rode about 100 miles non stop yesterday with no discomfort. Usually, i make myself stop...

    New Fuel Tank

My bike's fuel tank came with this blemish on top. I brought this to my dealer's attention and the mother ship approved a replacement. The first replacement was held up in customs and came in with a paint chip. After a 6 mos wait the new tank is on and I'm a happy camper. After all the Chrome...

    New Oil Choice

This looks like a great choice for an oil change. Amazon.com. The standards exceed what the manual calls for. Plus very reasonably priced. Some of the Indian Motorcycle forum members have been buying 5 gal pails for their bikes.

    Denali DRL’s Instαlled

I added these DRL’s today and love the results to make the bike more visible. They look clear when off but they are amber when on. I tapped into the DIN plug wiring which is switched. The Denali tech said this was a great place to get power from, low draw and doesn’t affect canbus. . I also...

    Rear Wheel Cap Removal

I need to measure the rear wheel hub diameter for my Rabaconda tire machine. When it comes time I plan to use it to put a new tire on, but may need an adapter to fit the center spindle of the Rababconda. Thanks.

    Oil cap cover

I removed the left side cover to be able to install my aux power port. Had to pull the oil dipstick. When I put everything back the oil cover wouldn't seat until I turned the dipstick to this position. I thought I was not going to be able to reinstall it at all. Crazy!!
