Help. Tool T-3880068 is it necessary or will a depth gauge on a set of calipers work? 16mm for plunger?

If your talking about their go no gauge you do not need it calipers will ill do fine16 mm or more drop requires the spacer which can be made out of a 10 mm bolt shank .355"long. It increases the spring tension on the unit.
Hey Warp, have you ever thought about going and running your bike at TX2K? Just wondering. I thought about going next year, but I don't have as much bike as you do lol!

I have thought about land speed racing at the texas mile or the Ohio mile but have not followed thru. I would love to be in the 200 mph club. But I must admit the last couple crashes I have had had tamed me down a wee bit. It didn't take much just 6 fractures of three vertebra and a broken wrist, got my attention.

What's the fastest you have gone to date? I've been talking to my buddy who took his zx10r down to tx2k17. He said he usually hits around 190mph. Do you think that's too crazy to do on a rocket?
that's funny, ill be giggling every time I look at it.both my wives are polish, one generation removed, so ive lived with polish in laws for over 35 years ,so I had an idea that's what you were saying, but wasn't sure, now I understand what they were mumbling at me all those years,i always thought they were saying goodbye or something.
ok, the suspense is killing me ,whats the translation, does it say kiss my ass or something???also your knowledge of the rocket is amazing, are you a bike mechanic or engineer professionaly, thanks for all the great info.i would not be able to attemp half of the stuff i do without it.

Is the arrow pointing to the oil gauge or water temp. 09 and older only has the one light and a black led arrow the shows the problem. Either way I would wonder if whoever did the clutch did not line the drive dog on the water pump up which could also cock things up on the oil pump drive chain.

you or whoever removed the the basket then the drive pins might not be in the back of the basket. These drive pins drive both oil pumps and the water pump. When you put the radiator on and filled it did you bleed the air out of the head. The bleed screw is right above the thermostat housing. Maybe you have air in the head.
    Hi
I was told you was the go to guy for any tips or advice you may have on how to replace my detent spring on my 06 classic. So far I have the front engine cover of and can see where the spring used to be attached. I need to remove the clutch outer drum to get to the detent spring, is there any way to remove the whole clutch drum without removing the plates?

And any other advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks...

in short yes you have to take the clutch fibers and steels out but not until you go back together with it.

You will also need to take of the pressure plate and springs just to get at the nut. Now after you get the nut off you could pull the basket with the clutch inside so you have it stacked right but you will have to take out the clutch parts before you go back on with the basket. It sis easy just keep them in the same order.
I just bought the 2011 bike with the carp stage 1 kit alas it has TORS on it(will get the carp pipes when I find a good deal) will Carpenter redo my ecu if I send it to them? it is rough at slow speed but moves at top end. Thanks see you soon at MV

If I go with the tune ecu will I just remove the power commander? and do you think someone would have a tune for the bike that I could use? tuners are hard to find down here.
The original owner thinks they sent the ecu to carpenter back in 2011

You can try copying the map with tune ecu if it can't it will tell you it does not recognize the map. Let me call Eric and see I do have the tune boy map for the 2012 roadster but they are ecu specific. Which Tune ecu will not copy them.

No one has one in Tune ECU because they do not make custom high rpm maps. I will see what I can find out for you. I would leave the map alone for right now. We can extract the PCV map in Maggie Valley and see what in it for fueling. Send me the guys name via PM and I will call Carpenter and see what I can find out.
