    Transmission questions

OK great video. Now I understand your worry. We'll done if I was a betting man I'd bet on a Circlip slip. Is the bike still open in the front ? If so snap an picture of the detention wheel so we can verify whether a update kit has been installed on this rascal I know you said the detent...

    Transmission questions

Actually if the bearing is installed backwards you won't see the rollers. And the rollers would not be seeing oil like they should. If it's original then it stand a better chance at being mounted on the shaft backwards. This definitely would point to whether it's a updated transmission or...

    The Polish rebuild

It looks worse then it is. Anyway yes Triumph changed the design of the sump pan early on. I'm not sure if there was a recall on them. I can say I like how they relocated the two sump screens. They are esoy to get at once the sump is down. You can even take the sump off with the bike on the side...

    The Polish rebuild

No it is one of the very early 04 models. One of the first updates triumph did to the engine was the sump pan. They relocated the screen pickup for the oil scavenger pump. This made it so no matter which way you leaned the bike it still had one screen scavenging oil to send back to the tank...

As for a Polish 04 I'm not aware of that model. But I am ok with it 🙂

    The Polish rebuild

That is a older one for sure. You can see it still has the old style sump pan on it. You'll want to change it. To the newer style even a black one will fit.

    2005 ignition switch removal

That's because they are security break off bolts. Lesson two a prick punch is sharper usually used to locate a position. Then a center punch is used to have a more permanent mark. (Once you are sure the price punch location is correct) Anyway Fred think how do I remove a broken bolt. I just...

    2005 ignition switch removal

I just used a prick punch to rotate them. Once they were a little loose they spun right out.

2006 Rocket III Clutch Lifter arm position.

The dot on the lifter shaft should be at about 2 o'clock when assembled in the first picture you can see it's around 4 o'clock. Also in the first picture the amount of threads hanging out the bottom clutch cable sheath mount is way the much as it shorten cable sheath length I have never seen one...

    Gearbox repair?

Some people switch/reverse the shift pattern because they think it's faster race shifting especially without using the clutch. Does seem that way, but it is harder on the transmission. Especially hard on shift forks and easier to pop circlips out of their grooves.

MAP and or Air Pressure sensor fault

Did you get the stepper motor with it ? If so when you are done getting her sorted out you might end up putting it back on the bike so it runs right and you can perform proper maintenance . Like a full ISCV reset. The simple 12 minute time operation to sync the ECU with the engine sensors.

    Dreaded high idle problem

Yeppers my 06 had the Old TPS back when it just started to be a problem. After the change I never had a broblem unless you don't keep all the throttle body linkages and stepper motor linkage clean. So the throttle return is alwas the same. Especially when you turn the key and the process of ecm...
