2006 Rocket III Clutch Lifter arm position.

The dot on the lifter shaft should be at about 2 o'clock when assembled in the first picture you can see it's around 4 o'clock. Also in the first picture the amount of threads hanging out the bottom clutch cable sheath mount is way the much as it shorten cable sheath length I have never seen one...

    Gearbox repair?

Some people switch/reverse the shift pattern because they think it's faster race shifting especially without using the clutch. Does seem that way, but it is harder on the transmission. Especially hard on shift forks and easier to pop circlips out of their grooves.

MAP and or Air Pressure sensor fault

Did you get the stepper motor with it ? If so when you are done getting her sorted out you might end up putting it back on the bike so it runs right and you can perform proper maintenance . Like a full ISCV reset. The simple 12 minute time operation to sync the ECU with the engine sensors.

    Dreaded high idle problem

Yeppers my 06 had the Old TPS back when it just started to be a problem. After the change I never had a broblem unless you don't keep all the throttle body linkages and stepper motor linkage clean. So the throttle return is alwas the same. Especially when you turn the key and the process of ecm...

    Header exhaust leak

Ya you could use a little rotation of #2 header tube. Remember each tube slides into the merge collector where the lower springs are. Other then being annoyed with it. It won't hurt your bike.

    Header exhaust leak

Dude calm down :) there is no heat sheild for the Carpenter header except for the few custom built ones from Australia. Of them few I own two sets. Heck it took years for them to develop a baffle for the end of the megaphone. Thats why people go different routes. Whilst doing my fire clean up I...

    Header exhaust leak

The header flange/manifold is made of aluminum. Bob Carpenter set it up like that kind of like sport bike with stainless steel springs as retainers. The stainless header runners just slip over the custum header flange/manifold. When I get back to Illinois I'll look at the 3 sets I have to see...
