As much as I like the looks of the Gen 2 model along with the 2500cc bragging rights, I still prefer my Gen 1 ride. Bigger gas tank (24 liters - 6 US gallons), better luggage options, windshield options, passenger seats, backrests and is easier to work on (except for rear tire change). I know that the newer model has more power, is lighter, handles better, has cruise and appears to have a more reliable tranny/engine combo but routine maintenance looks a bit onerous. I'm also not a big fan of all the electronics along with the fact that I live over 8 hours from the nearest dealer... I'm getting to that age that I don't really like rolling the dice with warranty issues. The analog system on the Gen 1 model is perfect for me since I do all my own maintenance.
Concerning the "New Spied Rocket" it looks like another slight change the way the Classic morphed into a Roadster...
