So the idiot that I got this bike from turns out had no business touching anything with a combustion engine, I just did a oil change since I just got the bike and it turns out he had " topped it off" before I purchased it I'm assuming he checked it while I was cold and had been sitting because it was overfilled by 1qt... Maybe 1.25 qts, I changed the oil and got the level correct I'm at the top end of the dipstick but a hell of a lot closer than the ******* before, I guess my question is would these be from it being overfilled? Or is there cause for concern? I don't see any blue smoke when I start it, and when I had the air plenum and that off I saw no residue... Maybe crank case vent? PCv valve? Any help would be appreciated, another thing I noticed is when I am down shifting and I blip the throttle it will "pop" / "backfire" if you want to call it that it sounds pretty muffled but you can definitely hear it, mainly from the left side exhaust, potential loading up? Or leak on the exhaust?

I had a friend over fill his bike (late r3) a lot and it got drawn into the filter area and the first i noticed was a large puff of smoke when passing.
his filter area had a large amount of oil in it.
i know you said that you had checked that so just throwing this out for more info.

I appreciate that, I'm open to any and all information, I was even chatting up with chat gpt to see what the AI wizard had to say on the subject. I have not noticed any blue smoke, but I am gonna go home and cold start it in the shed to see if I can catch any glimpse of that being the case. This is one of the things it has to say

"Small dot of oil at the end of the exhaust
If it’s:
Just a tiny wet/oily soot spot
No visible blue smoke
Oil level staying consistent
Bike runs strong
👉 That is usually normal condensation + carbon soot mixing, especially on big triples like the Rocket. Short rides make it more noticeable.
When to worry:
Blue smoke on throttle
Oil level dropping
Wet drips on the ground
Fouled plugs
A tiny spot alone = not a red flag."

So I cold started the beast and there was no smoke or smell of burnt oil, so I'm assuming it was from when it was overfilled, I also think I figured out why I was getting a slight pop on downshift when I blip the throttle, one of the exhaust clamps was loose enough I could move it with my fingers so I think I was getting excess air in my exhaust.
