Instrument lamp replacement issue?

Hello all!
Can anyone tell me how to remove the rectangular rubber instrument lamp socket from the tachometer? I've tried and pulled to the point of being very close to breaking something lol.

If it's an LED you'll need to access the circuit board it's attached to, that means dissassembling the tach. You might contact your dealer and see if their tech can do the work because it may require special tools. Gone are the days when itty-bitty incandescent bulbs were the light source. An LED can fail due to a myriad of situations none of which mean the LED itself went bad. You might also consult with your local electronics shop to see if they can repair something like your tach's light.
