Well, the night started out great

Personally I never liked crash bars until I hit the asphalt in Canada. If it weren't for them I might not be walking now.

The late Blasted Bones (RIP:() convinced me to go with the Rivco's. My bike tumbled a couple of times but not a mark on the engine. The only damage to the crash bar was a couple little spots of road rash you can hide with your finger.

Ya I hit a steel post Which mad the bike tumble end over end with me on it. I often wonder if that and the Driver back rest is what broke my back :( Anyway from the way the right side crash bar and radiator were bent back breaking the floor board off I would suspect if it weren't for the crash bar I might not have had much of a right leg left. It probably would have been hanging on the steal post.

Anyway Crash bars good Crashing well not so good :)

Here is my latest idea. Before

Still works the same :)

That looks much better but what exactly did you do to get that silver effect on the lights?

Hi neighbor ! I bought some Krylon plastic friendly silver paint and a 1/8" paper punch. I punched little circles out of masking tape and covered the led's. Then I masked everything around it and sprayed them. Before the paint got to tacky, I used a straight pin to get a hold of the little circles, and lift them off. It took a couple hours, but I'm happy with the result. I've done some looking, and at the moment, it doesn't look like anybody makes strip lights that look good in the daytime.

Nicely done. Glad to know I am not the only OCD person here.
