Turn the key on and no power!!

OK so I called. To recap. Cutting BOTH connectors is OK. Leave enough wire to attach to EB kit with ONE of the plugs. Run the H4 connectors through the bowls and connect the lights. If you want to keep the position lights use the other plug (or same plug makes no difference).

The EB kit uses the stock circuit to actuate the relays that put direct battery power onto the lights (using BIG wires) so they will get brighter. The function of the OEM system is not changed (at all, in any way). The lo-beam cutout will interupt power to the lo-beams with the engine running so don't forget to turn the lights back on before you dash off into the sunset. :deadhorse:

New harness replacement in and working fine.

Beaver kit in but not working fine. When I turn the key on the small parking lights in the headlight bowl come on. Tried switching connections to the other headlight harness, for just those lights, and they still come on. WTH ????

I had to disconnect them for now. I would like to be able to use them in the future but cant figure out the problem.

Oh yea, **** my headlights are bright.:D

the small parking /running lights always come on and even stay on when you hit the starter they are not controlled by the Hi/Low beam circuit they are on the own circuit and come on regard less what the headlight is doing Hope this helps you Nolton ol' boy;) if you want to be able to switch them on or off you will need to intercept the yellow wire somewhere along the way before it splits in to two and put a switch in;);)

Are you sure they always are on with the headlights? I never really looked. If so then I will leave them connected.

Thanks mate.
When I am through with the other mod for my headlights I will post it in the accessories thread.

The yellow wire that powers the position lights comes from the ignition switch through fuse 10 and also powers the tail light and license plate light. They are not part of the crossover relay circuit that powers the headlights. If you have a P position on the ignition switch (and you should), turning the switch to that position should turn those lights on (plus the tail light and plate light) according to page 18.33 of the manual.

I will reconnect the park lights and start the bike to see if they go out.
