X-Country And Back

On my reacent trip to the Canadian Rockies with 3 of my buddies, I rode my 2024 Tiger 900 GT. I did the MPG on the 1st fuel buy. It was about 54 MPG. I decided that was good enough. My buddy riding on my 2022 1200 T120 Bonneville did the hyper miling thing. He tracked every fuel buy. He kept the bike in rain mode for the entire trip because he said the tune I made for Road mode was too sporty for him. He was getting most fuel buys above 60 MPG with several over 65 MPG. His best was 67 MPG. I thought that was pretty cool. I do wonder what it would have done in my version of Road mode.

I have a 2021 tiger 900 gt pro it’s great on gas and has a good sized tank. Love the red ones for sure . I was just curious about the Rockets highway numbers long haul.

I'm not somebody that pays to my h attention to that stuff. But on my trip yesterday I was low on gas, and I decided to reset the avg. mpg for the first time since I got the bike I think. So 10k miles. It was 31 mpg. I do wish it had a bigger tank. I was singing black sabbath "into the void" the rest of the afternoon. "Rocket engine burning fuel so fast" ha ha

My Big Red bike used to sip nicely at 40 to 45 MPG on a road trip. After the NLR 200+ HP kit I never see those numbers anymore. Now more like 32 to 36/38 mpg. I have not figured out the GT yet. But I get about 140 miles on a tank before I fill up. It never seams to take more than 4 gallons. Always around 3.5 to 3.8 or so.

Been riding the last couple of days in Wellsboro pa. Up here with my daughter who rides a 300 cc Vespa gt. and a riding buddy.
We put 400 miles on the rides in the past two days. Lots of hills and back road twisties. Good times for sure . Dinner at the Westline inn is always interesting.
