Winter is here...!!

It wasn't my fault officer. I was in complete control until that idiot ahead of me stopped. Then, because it was icy, I couldn't stop in time.

OR

I have four wheel drive. Even when it is icy and the other people can only drive 35mph, I can still drive 55mph.

OR

I couldn't help it. All of a sudden I was on black ice. How was I to know? What was I to do?

Those are some common statements we hear every year around here. It is winter. Snow is falling. I don't care if the ice is green, expect it. If you can't see, slow down.

End of rant,

Well so much for washing the bike. Did not work out as planned. Had to start the bike to melt off the Ice that formed while hosing her down. Sometimes I really wonder how I make it through the day with my lack of common sense.

It will be about 28° when I ride in to work in the morning. not too bad.I have ridden in 16° weather no heated anything 1/2 helmet. One gets use to it. But then i am an NH3 refrigeration/boiler guy, my daily work routines go from -60° to 100° +. You gotta be tough to ride a Rocket.

I hear you on that. It is amazing what your mind says you can do but very disappointing to how your body reacts after the fact. Does not stop me, but sometimes you have to ask yourself 'WHAT WAS I THINKING'

Well, we have great riding weather but I am riding exactly as much as you snow bound folks are. The bike is in the shop, for the last two weeks!

I do that every time I spend a hour plus in one of our production freezers at -40 to -60 and there are some things you just can't wear gloves to do. When you start to warm up it feels like your hands and feet feel like they are being dipped in boiling oil. It pays very well but everyone else at the plant thinks that the refrigeration guys are insane. Little do they know..........
