I have a 2010 R3R Matt Black of course (Shut up Canberra and hanso), I am 44 this year and pay AUD$430 yearly, I have lost my license twice and have been on this license for 15 years or so (been pretty good) I went through InsureMyRide.com.au on line and saved 25%.

This link is to my current insurer:
Motorbike Insurance | Motorcycle Insurance Australia | InsureMyRide

Some of us have been discussing this issue on anouther thread. So I thought it is a relevant topic to pursue!!

Since paying the $430 last year, I have gone online again to get anouther quote from the same company and found it was $100 more than what I paid in August 2011.

Your Thoughts!!!!

I am also with Insure my ride and my insurance is due in a couple of weeks.
I will report back if I find any cheaper.

Swann Insurance, $17,500 (down on last year) premium is $415 but when you add stamp duty and GST it brings it to $503. Just got an online quote from Insure my ride and it was $479 (based on $19,000 for bike). Wasn't clear if that included stamp duty and GST.

BUT the policy is far better from Swann and has a lot more inclusions than anyone else I've seen, including $500 personal, $1500 gear/clothing, $1000 helmet, $500 transport, only $300 excess etc etc. I'm sticking with Swann.

Ok that's worth looking into:D

Was with QBE. Shannons beat their quote by enough to make me switch. Got my Speed Triple as daily rider and Rocket as whatever they call your non- daily rider.... All insurance companies are theives by nature .

Im with suncorp
costs a bit because i have had a few incidents and lost my licence a couple times but at the end of the day i have had two major stacks on bikes and suncorp has always promptly paid up which to me is the most important factor
Its good to have a cheap policy but its better to know you can actually count on the insurer when it matters and Suncorp have never let me down so im sticking with them

At the end of the day there is really only Two major insurers anyway and all the others are owned by them they just like making everyone think they have choice ;)
they do offer variations in product but the people who own it are the same
In Australia anyway

Forgot .. Pretty sure only a couple of companies offer agreed value. Costs more but at least they can't throw ' market value ' at you when you have to make a claim.
