Ok you guys that have already changed the suspension, please answer me this.

I weigh about 200lbs and occaisonally carry pillon, and I want the ride height to remain the same.

Which Progressive and Springs do I need, I am assuming its 440's with 12.5inch Heavy duty springs, am I correct.

Also, do I need to specify anything else when ordering them, as I have to get it right first time because I will order them over the internet in USA and get them delivered to a hotel where my Aircrew pals stay and they can bring them back into the Uk saving me $250.

I'm 220lbs and the progressive tech said stick with the standard springs unless you do a bunch of 2 up riding. I got the 13's

KC,
I am 185# and carry 35# in hard bags, have 12.5 standards and ride two up on the odd occasion, have had no prob's. the HD springs are just a little to hard for one up riding in my opinion.

Thanks guys, I'll stick with the standard springs then.

How about the other issue? do I need to specifiy anything else when ordering them or are they all the same as far as finish etc is concerned.

I want to buy stateside to avoid duties also.
I have been waiting to hear if the CC version is available yet.
Progressive shocks Part No- 440 4209CC these have chrome tops, bottoms & springs
If not how about chrome spring shocks 440 4209C & chrome end caps Part No 30 5044CC.

ok so If I'm 230 ( without any gear on)
and I have leather bags and sissy bar etc a
and my Passenger is at least 150

I should probably opt for the Heavy Duty models?

I weigh 260# (I know, I know), and don't usually have a pillion on. 12.5" with standard springs, still set on the softest setting and they are awesome. Most noticable improvement is hard corners on transition roads, especially hard acceleration around a ramp and onto the freeway. (Would the bike be any faster if I lost 100#?)
