After washing my bike I found this on the ground underneath it. It may not have even come from the bike but I didn't see it there before I started washing. It's a metal clip of some sort.

Wow! I gotta believe you guys who guessed the hose nozzle thingy must be right. While I checked the nozzle I used and it isn't the type that has that piece, we have several other nozzles around here and it must have come from one of those. Thanks for all the input, and I do mean all the input!

Well, I totally missed 2toneblue's right on ID on pg 1, so I reckon that I really did earn the helmet piercing.

The coin, BTW, is a classic example of diminishing returns. It used to buy us a pack or two of candy or gum when we were kids, just as it was sufficient to make a local call from any payphone or to buy one or two postage stamps. Today, payphones have all but vanished from the American landscape, we're lucky if that dime will cover the cost of a single stick of gum, some former penny candies now cost that dime or more and USPS stamps??? - don't make me laugh!

The best use for that coin these days seems to be as a slotted screwdriver proxy.
