What would you do first?

It's time to start doing some basic performance mods to my 2009 R3T. What I was thing about is the triple K&N with Jardines and remove the secondaries. I would like to learn more about the TuneECU so I can try this remapping myself.
I worry that the Jardines may be too loud, I don't want them so loud they bring attention to themselves. On the other hand what I have read they tend to yield the greatest in Hp increase along with the mods I mentioned. So I have quite a long extended warranty and I don't want to void the warranty. So I would like some suggestions or a brief of what you'd and in the order you'd do it.
Thanks

rreidiii I have a 2011 R3R my first mod was a GIPro and the result was awesome, great throttle response and I like the easy to read gear indicator. I later did the 5 K&Ns, removed the secondaries and had the bc cut. Last Week I installed a set of black Jars and a PCv. The Jardines are louder than stock but more of a deep sound, not too loud IMO. I loaded a canned tune which runs well but I still dropped it off for a dyno yesterday, I'm hoping to get the results by this weekend.

Most of the mods were easy thanks to this outstanding site and the very helpful members posting information and pics.

I hope this helps, good luck!

I think IF you alter the air intake OR exhaust
you'll void your warranty.
Not sure, but I'd think so.
cosmetic changes till the warranty is over
is all I did, cause I know harley would void you
so I just waited on the Triumph.
Once you're out of warranty you can do what you want to,
it's your baby then..

If you're going to go the triple filter/Jardine route you will need to change the tune at the same time. You can't make the intake/exhaust changes without increasing fuel or you'll run much too lean and likely damage the engine.

The Jardines are quite loud. On the R3T a drop in K&N, TORS or D&Ds and the Triumph TORS tune will get you some added power. The Jardines and triple filters will get you at least as much more. The sound is the trade off for the power. There's also a lot of intake noise from the triple filters.

As to the warranty, its up to your dealer. The changes will not automatically void your warranty. If however, you have a problem and the dealer determines the problem was caused by the changes you made they can deny coverage. Its really a crap shoot, and a lot depends on the attitude of the dealership toward mods and your relationship with them.

I have already bought the 5 K&N filters and can afford the Jardines in a couple weeks at most. Now I have 10,000 until my next service how hard would it be to re-install all the stock components if there was some catastrophic event where I was in need to take it to the dealer. BTW I bought a 3 year extended warranty on top of the 2 year that came with he bike. I will have a very hard time waiting 5 years to play with it. I have about $700 worth of chrome left to but and there is really nothing left to buy from Triumph. Yes I'm the first to admit that I am not too smart.
Thanks
