i had a guy on a m109 pull up to me at the light getting on the freeway gave the lets go nod light turned green we gave it he had mi in first but after that it was all over i just walked away :)

Last fall mine ran 10.9's @ 124 fully dressed with saddle bags and extra tall windscreen at Cecil County Raceway in Maryland. It was beating the bikes running 9.9's to half track. And that was after sitting at the line for a 1/2 second and only taking three runs, so given some practice I can see it doing even better.
So far on the street nothing has come close to hanging with it, not even the 1300 GSXR's that toyed with it. And if they can't take it, then I don't see any twin doing better.

M109 r

YES the ROCKET with exhaust and intake and a tune should run in the tens IM going to run him in stone stock condition and see what happens HE says he beats ROCKETS but ive not seen it BUT its all good fun gives us something to entertain ourselves so ill give him a go maybe i can get DOCTOR PHIL to try em :D

The 109 is a torque monster by the nature of the engine. It's a fairly long stroke, large displacement twin (the VTX is of the same genre) but a bit smaller. Both have gobs of torque off the line and both are geared shorter than the European designed Rocket. Consequently, both will pull a stock R3 off the line, if, the operator can control the tire spin. But, once both bikes reach maximum horsepower (red line or rev limiter) if the operator is inept and shift up a cog, the R3 will pull ahead and keep pulling because, at that point, the R3 is exercising it's displacement advantage.

I put my stock 06 Classic up against a 109 in a straight line run of about a1/2 mile (the 109 belongs to one of my co-workers and it's stock with the exception of loud pipes.

Frankly, I smoked his ass. I don't make a habit out of dragging, my Metz is over 10K and still looking good........ I'm an old fart and I ride like an old fart.:)

I didn't want him in front. I can't stand loud motorcycles.

I'm way more accustomed to operating engines that displace 15 liters and make 1800 pounds feet of torque.....

I will say that my bike does have a tune and exhaust and a k&n filter it also has a car tire that doesn't spin on launch so it gets out of the hole very well and will lift the front tire if I want it to. That being said I wouldn't have a problem seeing what a 109mr had if I come up against one.:D
