some times it's difficult to balance the equity of the one to the well being of the many... it's downright ugly. when one comes to the nasty and sticky part... well, just say thanks.

thanks for a job well done...

There is also more to this than what you have seen on the forum. Art was pm'ing me complaining about his treatment by others, then he would go out and instigate. He was cautioned several times not to poke sticks at wild animals in cages, but he kept coming back for more. Sorry but all of the comments and "threats" you quoted came after continuous badgering by him to those other members. I don't have a problem backing a regular here.

To see what he is all about all you have to do is google his user name and see how many different motorcycle forums that he has done the exact same thing.

And the PM's he sends to me being just as nasty and full of BS.......so you may only see one thing here from me, but you don't see the crap he started in PM's to me. For the most part I delete his BS and never reply.....but he just keeps at it.

Answer this for me Warp9.9, why do you seem to defend him on every site you and him are in

WOW .... I'm shocked! :p
It makes me think even harder about the whole "alter-ego" thing. There seems to be the same ones at each coming to his defense. His personal details are missing as well, one would expect a certain amount of vanity and pride after buying a new bike and like an ugly new baby pictures galore. The whole thing is fishy, this site has been one that typically is missing those types and thats why I like it here so much. I can get technical help anywhere, but here like Daryl says, the ribbing is in good fun and one school of thought (PCII vs TuneBoy, Darkside, Stripped vs Touring accessories) respects the views of the other. Hardiners one way or the other just don't seem to exist here or they keep their harsh opinions to themselvs. The "cyber-terrorist" like you find posting mean comments on Utube doesn't happen here, I like that. Being online and annonymous (?) is no excuse to act like that, one should be the same online as in person IMHO. I'm no more or less an ass here as I am in person, I'm even as ugly in person as my pictures posted here. LOL
On a happier note, the weather here is incredible, I should be riding/washing/tinkering or something outside. I hope everyone is having the same, wish all a great holiday and ..... Happy Independence Day everyone! Stay safe.

Huh?

The VTX is geared differently just like the M Suzuki. They can pull a stock R3 in first and second but after that, no contest.......

Are you saying the VTX and M109 can "pull a stock R3 in first and second"? In other words, the R3 is slower than the other two through second gear?

I think we may have some varience in our opinions concerning this issue ... (did I make that sound debate team enough?) lol
Personally I don't believe any normally aspirated V-twin can pull an R3 (with the typical mods) up to the 1/8th mile. And by "typical" I mean intake, exhaust, fuel management and the secondaries/timing dealt with properly. I loose faith after the 1/8th mile mark because of the short legs in the gear box. Triumph could surely have done better in the gearing dept, we might agree there. hehe :)
All the twins and the two 109's I've played with fell away from the start, and the race was well over before top end was an issue.
But I haven't gone up against an M with a real dare devil at the helm, both so far were fat guys on bikes having only exhaust and filter upgrades. The 9.9 second bikes that whooped my ass at the track didn't stick their nose out front until after half way ... the races looked very similar to the Youtube video of the Hyabusa and Rocket at the dock parking lot with the busa pulling the front wheel a few inches off the ground and gaining at the end of a short race. Torque is a wonderful thing. :D
Flip could certainly be right, I'd like to see one with a decent rider. But they just LOOK so slow . ;)

Daryl, milepost 56 is your exit at Crestview...I might add where you live...does that ring a bell? This guy is unbelievable, must be all them "purty wimmin's" turning his head so that he doesn't know his own mile marker.

Funn'in you Daryl.

All of you guys have a great ride and time with your families tomorrow and enjoy them cookouts....again, I am so jealous. I will be home at the next one next year for good.

I wanted to pop this post up to the top again. I have a few pics to show on this subject. Remember , I have both a supercharged r3 and a vtx1800. I promise just keep watching this topic. I will give you some pics that might make you reconsider pissing off a vtx owner.:)

I have to get the pics off an archive server. I will try to have them in a few hours....

And when you see these pics remember i weight 385 pounds.:D

there are many faster bikes

The R3 is a peppy, torqued bike stock. It is quick for a bike its size and weight, but no match for sport bikes or even most sports touring bikes. The mighty V-Max can easily spank the stock R3...even the Roadster. Likewise, a healthy Hayabusa will top end the awesome Max. It's all relative. All bikes can benefit from performance upgrades, such as cam kits, high compression pistons, head porting, turbos, NOS, blowers and the like. Hell, some boosted Harley's are **** quick! My VTX has many hi-pro upgrades including dual intake manifold, two into one sideburner exhaust, Nology ignition, Barnett clutch, 100 shot NOS, PC3 and other goodies. It is just as Fast as my R3 with its TOR pipes, PC3, GI pro with ATRE, cat eliminator header and triple K&N intake kit. With my NOS I can crank out 149 bhp and 160 foot pounds torque on the X; more than equal to the Rocket's current output. I intend to add nitrous to the R3 later this year and perhaps a supercharger down the road. These additions should put the Rocket beyond the reach of the VTX (unless I do some serious engine rebuilding...and/or throw a turbo on the X). I like quick bikes. Hell, I'm fascinated with the BMW S1000RR; great bike...perhaps the fastest production machine in the world at present...and under 15k!!! It's all relative folks. The R3 is fast, but there are much faster steeds out there!!!
