Upside-down mirrors - R3 2005

G'day,

I have fitted taller bars and went to invert my mirrors, and found they sit in a taper on the bars. has anyone drilled this out so they can invert the mirrors, or have another option?

I cannot see anyway of moding
Might be able to run end mirrors
Depends on the size of bars

I am considering drilling out the step, so you can bolt them in either way, but other than that it's going to be bar end mirrors or similar.

That hole is a tapered hole so any drilling will ruin the hole
