Upgrading the Rocket III - anyone have any experience with these gadgets?

So I have contacted MCC in illinois to put on all the below equipment. I was concerned about doing it myself and screwing it up - especially the electrical.

Does anyone have any of the below already on their bike and if so- are there any issues you know about I can try to point out for the dealer. Obviously I am talking about the Mad Dogs and the cat bypass and the bags as being the biggest one, the electrical stuff from http://www.kisantech.com/ being the second biggest one.

BTW anyone ever see one of these?

Formotion Motorcycle Compasses CODE MCT1468 http://www.bikersden.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=1468

Formotion Motorcycle Handle Bar Mounting Brackets (P-Mount) Code MCT1443 -AGAIN only if you think it is needed for the compass http://www.bikersden.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=1443

The P-mount looks to be of excellent quality and possibly good for mounting the GiPro gear indicator. I'll know when I receive it in a week or so. I don't know what the back of it looks like. Will probably require fabricating some type of plate to affix to the P-mount.

Good post with some excellent sources there.

I've got the MU bags. I'm very happy with them for the price. There are a couple of threads them by various members.

Somebody just posted up pics of the MU bags installed with EZ Brackets which looked like a very slick install.

I have the headlight modulator, I got it installed in an afternoon, working by myself. It is really not that hard to do, if you can follow instructions and have ever installed a car stereo. I mounted the sensor in the right hand plastic panel on the neck of the frame. That was the only non reversible part of the installation had to drill a small hole for it. I'd suppose it could be zip tied to the frame or to something else. I really feel as though it helps me be seen. I've had people actually stop in the road in front of me, hang their head out the window and yell at me, telling me just how fecking annoying it is. In my opinion that means it is working at least they saw me, if I had one on my Road Star Warrior I might not walk with a limp now.

I have had nothing but good experiences with MCC, just ask them what they think about your upgrade list.

I was thinking of doing a set of driving lights and a 12v. outlet myself, I finally gave up and went to MCC and John was able to suggest a few way better ideas for my bike that would look better and cost less than my plan....

just my $.02

+1 on that, its also very effective to get those travelling in the fast lane 1mph above the speed limit to move over rapido

MCC does rock

I talked to Greg about this list. At first they were hesitent about it - especially the electronics - but they say they will do them now- I willbe getting a call back with them this week.

I will post pictures and update you on my experiences with these upgrades.

Hey CAD:

What does this do exactly? Flash the lights on and off? Do you use it during the day and not at night?

This sounds like something that may be of interest to me.

I appreciate the input!

Geek theres a sensor so the modulator will only pulse the lights during daylight hours.
