The other day I met a guy riding a Yamaha Star and he had a nice set of clear hand guards that looked to provide excellent protection. They had a single point attachment and were affixed to the mirror mounts. He said he couldn't recall where he got them, J&P or JC Whitney. I searched both sites and came up with nothing, of course, the search engine on J&P stinks. I search hand guards and come up with foot pegs.

I searched the forum and found an old thread where Owl had mounted a set of Tiger hand guards but the problem is that they attach at the bar ends too so the Throttlemeister cannot be used. Searching the memory banks of my old brain housing group I seem to recall someone long ago posting a picture of some nice clear universal hand guards which just might be the ones I saw the other day. I cannot find it now though.

Has anyone seen anything like this or know of a good source?

Those are the ones and I will order a set. I am very disappointed that they don't make those nice SS wind deflectors for the Rocket though. It is probably because of the turn signals. I have a set of the Triumph WD but they are but ugly. Mine front turn signals will eventually be replace though, as will the rears. I am working on four different bikes now and just haven't gotten around to it.

Edit: Hmmm. I just took a closer look at the web site and they don't have an application for the Rocket. The Harley might fit though. I'll take some measurements on my Electra Glide and see if the clearances will work. I have the Harley mirror adapters so the actual mount shouldn't be a problem. Clearing the throttle control cables is a consideration.
