Anyone still running these things - the uni's or tuneboy pods?

If so do you run them under the claw cover?

And how long are the ones Tuneboy sells?

Thanks.

I had them on my R3T for a few weeks. They are 6" long. The first two fit fine, the third one has to bend a bit. The springs inside allow them to bend with out distorting.

No, the foam doesn't really compress it just sort of curves inward as it contacts the bearclaw.

I put on K&Ns mostly because I eventually want to cut down the bearclaw and like the look of the K&Ns better. Plus, I've always been kind of a K&N fan.

Wanna buy my pods???

K&N Filters

K&N filters the only way to go.

While your at it mount IAT Sensor in K&N #1

For a true air temperture reading.

Problem is I think I reached the limit for flow on the K&Ns. And removing filter area is not an option at this point either.

Hopefully, we/you/Tomo are going to cure that. If you playing guiena Pigger works, I'll offer the 1770's on the site at my usual excellent price along with the 2780's.

Like I said earlier thiks evening...I'm thinking the Lush cams are pulling more air even though K&N said to me and you that the 2780's will flow as much air as the engine can breathe, but then again, I'll bet that they meant with stock cams because they probably tested the R3 in stock configuration.

Theym will be here by next Thursday..and off to you.

pig--if you want to remove bearclaw (or modify it ) and/or only run on "good weather days" (or drag strip) ,these huge K&N RX-4040-1 "x-stream" filters will improve air flow a bunch!!

jlm - Those should flow enough. How tall are they? I tried to get K&N to do the filter tops on the 2780's but they can't since they are oval. I will probably have to do something similar to what you have.

pig --5 1/2 " tall --4" diam.
for even more flow you can fab a triangle ( forefront in pic) to give you a "straight cylindrical inflow" from K/N base to head vs. elbow in stock form.
the "bling" covers and shine is just ole school stuff!!
