Mmm Au$898 + Au$144 freight + Au$104 GST = Au$1146.

Let me think about that! ;):D

I sold all mine for half that or less.:rolleyes:

The seats A9708164 have been discounted at least half price in UK and Oz for years for Au$172 to Au$182 now, with similar UK prices once the backrests became unavailable in about 2012 when Triumph's supplier asked for more than they were prepared to pay.

That then is a nearly Au$1000 second hand backrest and it is and is not even a matching vinyl to the seat.;):(:D

I think it is actually the R3 Touring one ADJUSTABLE RIDER BACKREST - LONGHAUL A9708158 with a lighter gray tone vinyl with a different imprint texture pattern, rather than the earlier correct Standard/Classic A9708160 matching version for that seat CLASSIC TOURING SEAT - DUAL A9708164.

Yeah! It was a total rip off. Looks like somebody bought it, though.
Another seat just popped up, without the rider backrest for around USD$400 with shipping. (for Roadster, Classics)

Somebody really wanted that backrest. It looked super nice. Actually, I think someone was "told" to buy it or else they'd be sleeping with the fishes
