UK beware

I know this is teaching grannies to suck eggs - but beware of a scam on ebay currently running. There was a Rocket 3 Touring advertised yesterday - reason for sale -her dear departed dad had left the bike in storage. The bike is in Elgin Scotland, the seller was in Great Yarmouth, buy it now price for quick sale £3100.00 on a 12 plate in perfect condition.
The seller is totally none contactable by phone - THIS IS A SCAM.........
She will send a form for PAD payment through paypal (its her own special paypal) Just fill in the form and the bike will be delivered for £100.00 (Elgin is so far up Scotland £100.00 would not even reach Newcastle.
The actual bike is indeed for sale in Nottingham for £9900.00 same pics etc etc.

iv heard this before,with a van in scotland,woman says it will be delivered when i complete the ebay form which will be sent and money transfered...yeah of course it will be delivered..daughter is a police officer and says someone falls for it every week,usually motorhomes-

too funny... i just bought 5 acres of land and was looking for a tractor and ran into this same kind of thing on craigslist... starts with just too good a deal on a tractor, ask to see the tractor and get a long story about husband died; she's training with her medical army unit to be shipped out this month; needs funds so that mom can watch daughter... but i have to push funds to her ebay account and then she'll arrange transport for the tractor... yeesh...

If I caught someone like that I would tie them up and let a pack of mongrel dogs screw them silly, on the other foot if anyone is stupid enough to fall for these scams well

Personally , I would like to flay them with barbed wire , then bathe them in battery acid ! I keep 2 50ltr drums to hand for such eventualitys !

eBay ? Only in a back-handed sort of way. You'll see many ads offer "buyer protection" - presumably those sellers have had to go through extra hoops.
