Tyre pressures

With regard to tyre pressure versus aquaplaning ....... my logic would say that making your contact patch larger would increase your chances of aquaplaning.
I would bet that tread depth has a much bigger influence in the prevention of aquaplaning than running at a lower that recommended tyre pressure.

Logic would also suggest that the tyre that is supporting the biggest proportion of the load would require a higher pressure, but then, with the slightly added complicating factor of different tyre profiles, which the factory recommendations have already calculated/tested to take account of.
