i put my unbalanced wheel on and and with the bike on the center stand i put her in 5th gear and took it to 160 k/ph at 100 ks some vibration at 160 it was vibrating badly :mad:i could barley read the numbers on speedo and tach, after removing the wheel and hand balancing it chuck it back on and it smooth as at all speeds :D, may be if you have a center stand or jack it up you could try it and see if it vibrates , i don't think it would be as noticeable when riding on the road

how did we have our tyres balanced by hand or machine or balance your self, and witch is more accurate

i replace my rear tyre at a well known accessory mc store noticed no weight on rim so i asked was it balance the guy said it didn't need any it was balanced ok, so got home thought i check it my self needed 35 grams to balanced it, near enough is good enough?
i use goop in mine helps balancing and lasts the life of the tyre and prevents punctures !
