how did we have our tyres balanced by hand or machine or balance your self, and witch is more accurate

i replace my rear tyre at a well known accessory mc store noticed no weight on rim so i asked was it balance the guy said it didn't need any it was balanced ok, so got home thought i check it my self needed 35 grams to balanced it, near enough is good enough?

Don't need balancing? not the sort of place I would be using to do my tyres again.

Another choice is Ride On sealant and balancer. I've put it in when I changed my tires. As recommended, I removed the wheel weights and all is good. About 3500 miles on the Bridgstones so far and lovin it.

I use the Ride On brand myself with great results. There are youtube videos that show it's sealing ability. I paid $12.00 per tire at a local Harley dealer.

Question on the Dyna Beads...are they simply small ceramic beads? Is it really that simple? I have access to literally tons of small ceramic beads of varying density. Would these works just as well? The tires do need balanced. You can either use dyna beads or wheel weights or also the ride on sealant. I personally don't have any experience with ride on.

Weights are generally cheaper than beads but beads will also keep a tire balanced for the life of the tire and prevent a lot of cupping of the tire. My dealer recomends beads in the front tire to help prevent cupping and weights for the rear because the rear tire on a Rocket doesn't last long enough to worry about cupping.

I don't know if you can use your carboceramic beads.
Personally I would stick with the Dynabeads, they are the right size to go into the valve stem and they do not pulverize into powder over time.And they are cheap enough.

interesting but have you ever put wheel on a balancing machine with dyna beads in it
just to see how well dyna beads work or if they work i'm not entirely convinced

No, I have not done that.
All I know is that with the Dynabeads there is no vibration at any speed.
A lot of bikers use them here where I live.
You be the judge, I am only suggesting to you an alternative to wheel weights.
