Turns over fast but, won't start

From memory some safety cut out's cut the starter and some the ignition (which would allow it to spin the engine but not fire). Check the tip over sensor has not been compromised.

No Spark

I turned the ignition on and off several times using the TunECU program and I also used a scanner which requires the ignition to be turned on and off a couple of times. Niether the TuneECU nor the scanner produced and errors or codes. But it seems the crank position sensor can cause problems and not show a code. My plan is to change the sensor from my running 08 Touring to the 05 standard. I would have already done it but, it seems nearly impossible to re-route the wiring so, Monday I'm hauling it over to my buddy's to use his rack. I didn't want to get both bikes down. Of all the sensors that one seems to be the hardest to get to the connector.

no spark

I switched out the crank position sensor and it still won't start. Going to take a look at the tip over sensor.

No Spark

All is well. Changed the spark plugs and it runs like new. I cannot believe the plugs were so bad that the engine wouldn't start. I couldn't get a spark at the plug but, after checking for power at the ECM and finding no faults with sensors etc, I decided to recheck for spark and discovered that it would spark on occasions but was very weak. Since the plugs looked dirty I decided to change them and for $12.00 fix the beast. Now I can let her go to a new home. She changed my life and I hate to see her go but, her replacement (an 08 Touring) is doing a fine job. Thanks to everyone who offered assistance. I should have started with changing the spark plugs.

engine light

Now after riding it a mile or so the engine light comes on. It's running fine but, that orange light is on. I ran a test using the Tune ECU system and the only code was that the engine fan was shorted or grounded. WHen I ran a test on the engine fan is came on and seemed to be fine.

I'd be checking the wire coming from the fan to make sure it hasn't rubbed thru causing a intermittent short
