You have sussed me out,
yes i do want to ride at night with no lights on, pissed at 3am with the bloody pigs in hot pursuit,
but not for long with the trusty JET BLACK 2005 ROCKET at warp drive (ride).
**** all i wanted was to shut down my lights while tuning, i think ill just remove the friggin fuse ( wheres the fuse box LOL ) only joking i do know,
But i still think a switch on the side-stand would be good,
side-stand down = lights OFF
side-stand up = lights ON

Flip's answer, I'm sure was just in jest and he wasn't talking about shooting what was behind the headlight.
But your idea about the sidestand, I think that is an outstanding idea, wonder why that hasn't been tossed around before?

Thank you. My wife used to feel that way. Now I'm retired, I'm just an old shoe, relegated to the corner.

Why cant you gust take the hot wire for the lights before the fuse box, run it to a button the is normally open when not pressed then back to the fuse box. Now when the kick stand is down open curcuit no juice, then when you put your kick stand up it presses the button closing the circuit and Walla juice.
It sounds good, (will it work) beats me.
