Tuneecu post settings

Thanks for your reply
Hmm...... The TuneECU's app index shows ------> Read the map from the ECU (Only with a connection through USB)

If I can't download the map as described, how can I get a copy of the factory map as backup?
Or, does Triumph not allow the factory map to be downloaded....
Thanks
The factory map is downloadable from the internet via the TuneECU app, as dougl indicated. That's why it's important to select the correct trim, VIN range, and geography.

In the app: Map > Open > Download > Triumph > Rocket 3 > {trim and VIN range} > {hex file with code for your geography} > Download
If you don't want to look them up, you can press/click on each hex file to see what region it's for and cancel if it's not the one you need. There's a US/Canada-specific one for each trim/VIN range.

Got it! I was able to finally figure out how to get the factory map saved onto my tablet. Feeling more comfortable, I went ahead and
hit the GO button on the Penner map.
Everything went smoothly and WOW, it has turned a spirited barn horse into a thoroughbred. During my research, there were a couple
notable nuggets. When looking at the map, the motor was only tapping ~60% of its potential. It was said Triumph did that to protect
novice and inexperienced riders. Sounds reasonable.
This is my seat-of-the-pants reaction.
* On start, the exhaust note seems to be throatier?
* When accelerating from a stop sign, it's noticeably stronger and smoother.
* Overall, the engine is happier and smoother with quicker throttle response at all RPMs.
* Everything works with no warning lights. Much relieved
* When hammering it above 4000 RPM, it pushes your eyeballs into the back of your head. I'll seldom
get there, but the smile and g-forces are addicting.
* One unexpected benefit is the overall bike is smoother when accelerating at lower RPMs. My bike has 27K miles
and have been concerned about a "roughness" when accelerating from stop. I'd say the "roughness" has decreased by more than
half with the tune. Don't understand this, but I'm liking it

Thank You Mister Penner.....
