Back in the VTX world, we all do our own tune-ups. There is always plenty of help, if you get stuck from someone who has "been there, done that". I am not finding much information here regarding valve adjustments, etc. for the 10,000 mile tune-up, plus my old bike was carborated and I do not have any experience with fuel injection. Do I just bite the bullit and let the stealer have the bike for the 10,000 mile tuneup or is there more information out there that would allow me to do my own work?

Stormrider,
Tmiller has done the valve adjustment job ask him. There does not seem to be much to it once you've been there.

Not many Rockets that I have heard of required valve adjustments, but there is always the 10% . Main thing is that the 10,000 mile check is stamped off in your owners warranty Manuel. There are many things that get checked, adjusted and identified during this check up. For the money and the voided warranty I was happy to just get it over with, By the way my dealer ( Back roads Triumph ) Has a great , knowlegdeable, school trained mechanic . so no sweat!

After the troubles I had with my first Rocket, I decided I would let the dealer to the Services until the Warranty ran out. That way there's no question. This is tough for me since I've always done my own work on all my bikes. I just don't want the hassle from Triumph.

FWIW: my 10K service required nothing other than an oil change
