Triumph Rocket 3 roadster 2014
I tried to use the tune ECU program for the first time on my 2014 roadster. I, ordered a Vgate vlinker FS OBD2 chord and downloaded the program onto a samsung tablet . When I plug it into the tablet, it reads the chord, but when I followed the steps to connect I just get this message:

"ECU is not responding: check cable connection. Turn ignition off and on."

Has anyone else run into this problem? any advice on how to fix this?

Strong probability that the cable is the problem.
Only get the Triumph one from www.lonelec.com, don't trust anywhere else

But

Firstly, does the cable you have have an adapter to connect to whatever connection your tablet has?
If so, is it an OTG type adapter?

I was using an adapter but it is an OTG adapter. I can order the chord from there though. Would it be this one?

Yeah that looks right.

And if using a cable to Android device the adaptor must be an OTG type. Non OTG ones will result in connection issues.

I’ll order that one. Looks like you can order it with a chord that plugs directly into the usb c port so won’t need an adapter anyways. Thank you for the information.
