True final drive failure

Warp nailed it on the head. It was doing the skip.....skip....skip.... and got just a touch sideways and exploded. OOOOPS That SUCKED!!!!

For ****s, send it to Triumph and ask for the upgrade kit. I'll pay the postage.

Dear Triumph,
I am sending this to you because i have discovered the source of my final drive leaking. There seems to be what appears as a crack in the final drive housing. I only ride the bike to church on Sundays and hadn't noticed a problem until I went to give my bike its weekly cleaning. I know that my bike is out of warantee. Can you help me resolve this issue to my satisfaction?

Now that there is a funny **** letter :p

or better yet keep it and we can figure out the gear info like dimetral pitch, pitch cone anges and radius along with gear ratio and bolt patterns and maybe we can find a different set of gears to increase top end speed.

There's an idea.....

shurly it would be easyer to machine some new gears for the torque dampener than change the helical gears in the rear

if you wanted more speed

It wasn't the wheelie I pulled 8 seconds before this happened that did it. It was the snick'n it into 1st doing 45mph trying to shut it down before I ran into a farm field. The last time that I had it on a dyno it was 160 ish if I remember right. Those are just numbers to me. I jacked around with my tuneboy to remove all the lean spots on the chart and added a little extra fuel to get rid of the decel popping so I really have no clue what it was running. My new to me used one from Pinwallcycle will be here tomorrow.

Truth is **** PREDATOR pipes made my bike too powerful and turned me into an idiot. (When in doubt....Blame it on Sam    )
