Troubleshooting electrical issues by smell

That's odd, because dielectric grease, known lovingly as "pookie" in parts of our vast country, is purty cheap and a little bit goes a long way...

I have a tube of dielectric grease now and have been using it on every electrical junction since I got it. Hopefully by the time the tube is low, I will have got every connection lubed up.

But this is the UK for goodness sake where everything is rip off!!!

Edit: Prime example - price of Rocket in America $11,400 out the door but the price in the UK, where the ruddy things are made, £14,799 plus delivery, plates, & admin fee!

We have room for just one more grumpy ole slave to the beast Brit here in 'merica. I have some connections to Trump and his immigration brownshirts, but you'll have to hurry - the window appears to be closing.

Not sure that door is still open wide enough...

BTW, GOC, if you can hip me to any dealer selling a new R3 at $11,400 USD otd, I'll start making room in my garage to replace my beloved Mistress and I'll make a healthy downpayment on a new one one for you, my dear fellow! You might be able to negotiate a new Bobber down to your number?

Current pricing in the USA:

Could be my memory is fading fast these days... but wasn't there a guy who joined the forum in the last 2 weeks and he got a lovely deal for on the road? Could have sworn it was the $11.400 mark cos that figure is stuck!! UK price is as above - called local dealer a few weeks ago just out of curiosity and to find age of bike in showroom being advertised as 'the last one'.. Still a lot cheaper for you guys...just jealous
