I think th ewire cages on the Soectre filters are colored and there fore keep the colored look better. I would just not oil them and add the colored pre-filters made by Outerwaers inc. ask WillTill for a picture of his you will see he has red covers. these pre-filters can be seen thru and yet shead water great in the rains. Hell I rod my Millennium Falcon in a monsoon withthe filter out ther in the supercharger filter stuckl out there in the open and never noticed a different except when I had to slow down to 70 because the hail hurt so much
