Could be, seems that is "Where the rubber meets the road" and as Linda Rondstat said, it ain't the meat it's the motion.:D:D:D

For sale one Rocket III trike!!!! BearMan rode it again today about 200 miles. When he got back he had decided he was going to have to put yet another master cylinder on it and a larger foot brake because he said he really had to stomp on it hard to get it work. But when He got ready to take a look at it he found a leak in the front forks. Gonna have to replace a seal and who knows what else. He is soooo bummed cause it just hasn't gone right for him. Talking about replacing the starter switch when it gets in and fixing the front forks seal issue and then selling it.

:( Awwwww poor Bearman.........I think he just got him a ****ty place to make his trike.......He must be soooooooo upset......Tell him to hang in there Ime sure it will all work out in the end and he will have just what he wants........It just might take a bit of (convincing) on his part to get the place to do him right......:)

The trike place might be okay (giving the benefit of the doubt). It could just be that they've not done a Rocket before and are having to work out some gremlins with the brakes.

Additionally, not sure you can blame the trike place for fork seals and starter. The trike conversion wouldn't have anything to do with either of those, would it?

Anyway, hope it works out for you!

Yeh, Bear says he thinks they have had time to perfect the goldwings and the harleys but not the Rocket.
Bear is just so frustrated with his bike/trike. He probably should have traded it in a long time ago. His has experienced every possible problem that the '05 and '06 models have wrong. At first he had no problem getting our dealer to listen and try to get Triumph to fix the problems but lately they are deaf and dumb. So at this point he is talking about doing what he can with his mechanical skills to get everything fixed on it that isn't working right now and sell or trade it in on something else.

I have been so fortunate with my '05. I have not had one problem with mine.

They seem to be hit and miss regardless of year model. I had an '08 R3T and I had what I consider too many issues in too short of a period. I bought a Thunderbird and sold my Rocket and am MUCH happier. I *liked* my Rocket. I *LOVE* my Bird. I would've bought the Bird to begin with had it been released when I bought my Rocket. Even had I known it was coming out the next year, I'd have waited for it.

Anyway, my point is it sucks to spend as much money as bikes cost and then not be happy with them so I can empathise with Bear. I went through quite a few bikes the last 3 or 4 years in search of a keeper or two. I'm happy I've finally gotten to that point. :)
