Transmission issue

V*twin
the engine DOES NOT NEED to be removed from frame and does not need to be disassembled the output shaft assembly can be removed from engine while still in the frame . But you have to disconnect all wires unscrew all sensor connected to it remove rear wheel, swing arm and suspend bike rear high enough so you can unbolt the rear of engine only drop it 55 degrees down oops!! forgot to say the rad and coolant must also be removed then you can unbolt the output shaft cover and slide the assembly output shaft out I am no mechanic and I did it with help from rocket scientist and warpo your call!!

Oh..That's good new think that's something I just be able to tackle this week. where can I source the bearing upgrade kit from, I hope to change work on it this week. Are the two bearing highlighted in photo attached, the ones need replaced.

Thanks
Manoj

that is exactly what need replacement,, I forgot to mention you also need to unbolt the rear of engine and to loosen the front bolts special sockets are required for the swing arm .then the motor will slope around 45/55 degrees down at the rear and the output shaft assembly will slide out I took my time and was done in 2weeks ( the bearing will need to be PRESSED IN) local triumph shop can do that for you.

THATS why I say to buy an 09 or newer rocket and avoid those issues

Make your own ...... 15/16" and 1 1/8" AF sockets and twenty minutes with a grinder......

That assumes the castle nuts are the same size on the Touring as on the rest....
