Hi can any body send me photos of the fitting of a tow bar for a R3T as i would like to make one ?The ones you can buy are very heavy and cost a lot so my idea is to make a lightweight one and save some money at the same time :)

pictures of hitch

Jonathan, can you post your pictures here too? I would be interested in welding up my own too.
Thanks Mac

Hitch suppliers

Check out Bushtec in Tennessee and Classic Industries in Australia. The Bushtec is stout, but the Classic Industries uses the exhaust mounting bolts and the subframe as their mounting locations. I have one on my zx14. All of theirs are very similar in design.:)

here is I am looking at to make and I like the way you can remove very easy..

That's an interesting design, but even with the hitch removed it's a bit gawdy isn't it? Probably wouldn't be with saddlebags in place, but it sure needs something to hide those big brackets on each side. Still .... I like that the hitch is removable with a couple pins.

Thanks Ed. Main thing stopping me getting one until now is that I didn't want it there all the time. This looks like a very interesting proposition.
