Hey Jeepster - I put on the cat-bypass and TORS a few weeks ago. Am glad to hear they don't quieten down. My goal wasn't power (nice by-product), but NOISE!! I've never been a fan of LOUD from bikes until I realized that I often HEAR a bike in my driving zone before I see him - much like sirens. I'm all about cagers knowing I'm around so I went loud. With a +5-15% adjustment in the fuel ratio table at the 0 TP in the 1500 - 2500 RPM range I've eliminated most of the decel pop (per Wayne @ TB). Got to admit that I'm becoming addicted to the sound!! It has a great note and have even gotten to enjoying the slight amount of residual decel popping. Sounds more like the beast it is!!! :D

Hi, New member and just bought an 08 Rocket Classic after 2 decades of harley ownership. Love the looks, ride and performance bur it sounds a bit meek for a 2.3l lump!!!!
I like the noise, welcome ideas guys.
Thanks,
John (England)

Throw some TORS and Cat Bypass on and it'll be a lot less meek sounding. Better yet, put a set of Jardines on there and it will sound absolutely badass.

I have an '05 Standard that came with TORs, so while they gave me the originals, I don't know what they sound like. I don't think the TOR's are terribly loud. You might want to double check for exhaust leaks, especially if you didn't change out the little mesh crush seals. you might have some exhaust bypassing the TOR's altogether.

And as Jake mentioned, plugs should be essential for you AND your passenger. Continuous exposure to bike noise, even with stock pipes is a sure way to invite hearing loss.

You want power without TORS then the blower kit will still give you 220 bhp at the wheel. SELL THE TORS an add about $3500 and have the best of both worlds.
