Today I went to Falcone Triumph in Indianapolis Indiana. The only remaining Dealer in the state. They did my 500 mile service. The tech Cory looked awful young. He has been a certified Triumph Tech for 13 years and is 31 years old. Guess I am old. He found a mount on the front wheel not properly installed. Good eye kid. It is nice to know he did a good inspection and not a splash and dash. Total was $371.00 In this photo you can see what he found. The square hole in the hanging bracket should be in a mount on the fork.
Walked out the door and my eyes behold another 2015 R3T and Mr. Eldon Avery. He said he would ride down from Peru Indiana to meet me in person and he did. We stood and talked about our bikes. He has 3500 miles, has gone dark side, and has an old Vetter Top Box. I love it.
He also told me about a place in Gas City Indiana that custom sculpted his seat. Sat on it. I like it. I am going to look them up shortly. Sorry Corbin. Going to give this a try. He said they custom fit it for him on the spot for a couple hundred dollars.
We rode from Indianapolis to Lebanon Indiana and stopped for a sandwich. Then to Lafayette Indiana for a quick stop. Then I took him the back way to the Hoosier Heartland Highway and we went our separate ways. Eldon back to Peru and myself to the house. Twin bikes both with USAF Veteran plates.
It was really nice going down the road looking at another Rocket. Questions I thought of were.
If we raced from a dead stop for a quarter mile would it be a tie?
Hey buddy that bike is really quiet. Is it electric? (we are both upgrading our pipes)
Did a total of 142 miles today.
You meet the nicest people on a Rocket.
