I read on another website somewhere that instead of buying smoked indicators, you could use black RIT clothing dye. Boil a pot of water, add the dye & indicators and simmer for between 10 & 20 minutes depending on how dark you wanted them. Then rinse them in warm water & let them dry.I done them for 20 minutes & it didn't work. They are still almost as orange as they were before.

And another thing to take note of:
On the rear indicators the 2 screws closest to the number plate are actually bolts which hold the indicator onto the indicator stem. All the rest of the fasteners where screws.

If you are succesful, you'll need brighter bulbs. Well done for trying anyway.

I had my paint guys tint some clear coate for mine. Blinkers are dark but show up fine. Had the brake light done as well, but very little tint. I wanted that to show up bright.

Try this
Clear Signal Lens Kit with Bulbs for the Triumph Rocket III, Classic, Roadster

I believe I would do the exact opposite of tinting the brake light ....especially after one of our fellow members got hit in the rear by a car the other day.

It really didn't change much. It has very little tiny to it, but with the black bike it looks darker in the picture.
