Time to "Stir the Pot" Darth Vader is Calling.

The is an entire forum dedicated to the dark side. I suggest that you go there. Yes, there are strongly held opinions on both sides. Most valid. Others purely irrational.

Yes, I run dark side on my Rocket. Always will. I will sell my bike if ever forced to go back to a m/c tire.

Go research the Dark Side forum.

I went darkside in 2009,the problem i had was finding someone to put it on . I had to travel over 200 miles drop off the bike and come back for it. He made me sign a wavier. After which he told me he wouldn't do it again. All he did was pi$$ and moan how hard it was to get the old tire off. He was a friend of a friend. If you have a problem getting someone to change the tire take the tire to an auto tire place tell them it's for a trike. The only problem with that is they can't balance it due to the axle size. Five years ago i used the Yokohama AVS ES-100 245/50 ZR 16. I got 14000 miles out of it. I live in a state where liability comes with ten lawyers knocking at your door. I loved the darkside but the hassel of getting it on and off wasn't worth the grief. I went back to the Metz. i found it for $200 shipped and usually get 10K out of them.

You need to learn to do your own tire changes. Theres lots of YouTube videos on how to do it, easy ,peasy.
Balancing is not a problem, 3 ounces of Dynabeads and the tires run smooth as silk.

What bothers me is how some guys say that car tires are bad and no good when they have never even tried it?
How can they make a comment when they have not experienced it?
They are talking out of thier asses when they say that.
Its always the guys that saw someone else with a car tire and based their negative opinions on what they saw.
Do me a favour and DO NOT comment on what you saw, but if you have used a car tire on your bike then please go ahead and comment.
Feedback from experienced Darksiders is always welcome.

At my age i'm lucky to get out of bed every morning.;) My wrenching days are over, i still do all my own oil changes etc. etc. but as far as taking on changing the Rockets rear tire i'm more than willing to leave to someone set up for it. Speaking of videos on YT RiderRocketman helped me a lot back in the day,he was one of the first to experiment with the dark side . He's knowlegable about the subject. He is on Facebook under TY Alexander Huynh or BPMSRAT.com: Group Information and Joining . Give him a PM i'm sure he could answer any or all the questions you have. Ride Safe

Over here from what i hear if the police pull you up and if you are running a car tyre there is a good chance they will book you for riding a bike that is not road worthy. More than likely the insurance companies may had some thing to do with it. Personally I believe there right .macrider I will comment on any thing I feel like unless told differently by the webmaster

Hey Mac, this is a Public forum anyone can comment on anything they want. That's the whole point. Car tyres suit some people and bully for them, but no one has to try one before deciding they don't want one and they're entitled to say so.

One thing you've said I agree with. Sticking a *****up your butt is a good, sorry, "excellent" analogy for puting a car tyre on a motorcycle.

OK, ok you guys are right. You can say anything you want.
