I have just stripped down the bike to fit a new Detent spring. Having watched Bennys' videos on clutch replacement I expected to find a thrust bearing with radial rollers, however there is nothing but a plain washer & a light weight spring washer. Mine is an 09 classic, has there been changes that have done away with it, or a late fittment.
Just posted pics of mine & Benny's for comparison on Warp9.9 post. Was worried that I had some add hock system or lost something, I know I haven't but at times you come to doubt yourself.
Yes you have the newer clutch assembly. Some how Triumph installed an 04-05 clutch in his 08 Classic bike. The only difference is the pressure plate and lifter piece, and what type bearing it has. Yours has a roller bearing instead of the needle thrust bearing. IMHO the newer style is better bearing wise as you get both thrust and radial from the roller bearing.
