Different. Not sure I like it, if I had done this I would have angled them forward more so that a longer, larger diameter filter could be put on without hitting your knees and I might have gone for a larger diameter opening by a few millimeters since you increased the length, although minimal, of the intake. But, I'm no expert in fluid dynamics.
If you like it, that's all that matters, I like it, just might have done a few things slightly different.
