Thinking of making the switch

Welcome mate.
You will also need the crank case breather filter - when you tear out all the factory plumbing. its under the air box on the right hand side and has a joining tube to the air box.
You will also need a filter for your air temp sensor located in the plenum just at the throttle bodies - be careful with this - remove from the plenum and put the filter on it straight away so as not to damage it.
Plenty of local exhausts made in OZ, Reband in South OZ and CES in Brisbane.

I have a combination of both pipes - Youtube in my signature.
K&N and Emgo Filters | Flipmeisters Specialty Products has the 16 & 19mm filters.
The k&N 4040's are pretty spendy....

Legend. Thanks mate. I'll get in contact with Flipmeisters and see if they have the 4040's. Nothing is listed on their site.

As for exhausts I'll also contact CES don't mind the look, still think the carpenter look better but will probably cost a fair bit more to get them here. I have read that the carpenter pipes get the most power and a throatier sound. Are the CES on par?

There are a few exhaust options and alot of them are right there in your own country. Welcome from Nevada.

G'day and welcome from an old Newcastle lad.

Another option for the filter is the RamAir. It will give you the results you want, has a better mounting option for the air temp sensor, and has everything you need in one kit.

You may also want to look at @Paul Bryant's exhaust system. It is also a thin of beauty. The Oz systems, and the NZ system, will give you power where you want it rather than in the 7-9k rpm range.

That makes sense. The CES headers look nice but the muffler doesnt flow with the bike in my opinion. Shot of a few emails tonight to Flipmeisters and CES. I'll search the forums for some info on Paul Bryants system.

I have seen the ram air but I just love the look of the exposed filters haha
