Presently the plans detailed are for a 175 mile loop on Saturday and a 225 mile ride on Sunday.
I've suggested a shorter router for Saturday. I figure ~ 140 miles using mapquest:
Maggie Valley to Stecoah 45 miles. This section for this total route would be traveled twice = 90 miles. Stecoah through Robbinsville to Tapoco via the Dragon, 25.5 miles. Tapoco through Fontana Village to Stecoah via the Hellbender 28, 24.5 miles. That 50 miles of the most challenging roadway in America, so I hear. Any seconds?? Votes??

I think this is a great suggestion for a shorter route. I would like to put together a long and short route agenda so everyone has options. Do you have suggestion for a shorter route for sunday let me know I will incorportate into the short route agenda and have Pig3r publish. Or if you would rather plan when you get there I will have a full set of waterproof ride maps from AMERICA RIDES MAPS - HOME, motorcycle road maps, blue ridge parkway map, motorcycling usa, blueridge, lodging, hotel, near, drive, rides, mountains, deals gap, cherohala for the entire area With routes marked for the group to use.

Room Update

The last room at the holiday Motel has been booked for the event. We still have several options to accommodate as many as possible.

Option 1

Many ot the rooms booked have several beds explore sharing a room with others. Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist in coordinating. (Great way to save a couple of bucks)

Option 2

Our host has made Contact with the owners of the motel closest and they were happy to match the discounted price for the group.
They are located almost directly across the street. When calculated the prices after the discount here is what they will offer before taxes.

One bed $39.00/night
Two doubles $44.00/night
Two Queens $52.00/night

When you call mention the RAA IV group name.

Friday Cookout / Gathering --- Doniation accepted to cover cost but will be sponsered by myself and wife.

Embroidered shirts. I'm doing a sew-out right now on a couple of different color schemes. and will then take actual pictures to post. I'm working with light color shirts right now and will then do black, or other dark colors.

better than a name card! I'll write my handle right on it. The Blue Ridge Parkway appears to be a very very small section byway over the entire proposed routes.

Actual segments could be added individually and as desired.
